Kelly Bahe-Newgord LMT,SEP,CEIM,TTP

As someone who has both experienced trauma and become a parent, I know first-hand how easy it can be to find ourselves more distant from our families and ourselves than we would like to be. Over the last 25+ years of being a massage therapist, I have seen how touch connects, heals and nurtures our relationship with ourselves and others. It is with continued curiosity about the body + brain and our relationships, that I’ve been led to study Somatic Experiencing®, Reiki, infant massage, Transforming Touch®, doula training and other forms of healing.

For the last 10 years, my focus has been on developmental trauma, attachment, birth trauma and repair, regulation and healing. My practice is all about working with families and individuals to achieve healthy relationships with themselves and others.

WHY ATTACHMENT MATTERS

Researchers have found that attachment patterns established early in life can lead to a number of outcomes. For example, children who are securely attached as infants tend to develop stronger self-esteem and better self-reliance as they grow older. These children also tend to be more independent, perform better in school, have successful social relationships, and experience less depression and anxiety.

As we grow into adults, we become more aware of our attachment styles (positive or negative)through relationships with others. CFP is here to help people of all ages to heal from trauma and to move forward through life thriving, not just surviving.
